When buying a new camera one can really become confused as there are so many different models on the market all offering exceptional features, so yes buying a camera can become confusing. Just to let everyone know that both of these cameras are awesome and anyone who buys them will love them just like we do. In these comparison reviews all we are doing really is nitpicking and finding small flaws or inconveniences. Both of these cameras will give you amazing image quality.

In order to understand the upgrade one should most definitely view the video on YouTube to be able to see the comparisons of the 550D and the new Canon 60d as well as the 7d. There is a fantastic video which shows photographers on three cameras comparisons which will help to make a wise choice. The video displays and compares the built in quality, burst modes, ergonomics, and performance and ISO performance of each model. This video truly gives you a clear picture. However many people have expressed that they have mixed feelings about the Canon 60d.

Photographers have expressed that they like the articulating screen as well as the microphone option which are built into the Canon 60d and also like the recording functionality. Professionals that have done reviews have stated that this model has excellent quality built into the Canon 60d. This camera has been rated tops when it comes to durability and many people are now starting to upgrade from the 550D to the Canon 60d.

In addition the Comparison between a Canon 60d and a Nikon D7000, Nikon has now announced that the D7000 is around $100 more than the Canon 60d, which makes for really tough competition I say. However if you are a professional photographer then you would probably choose the Canon 60d over the Nikon D7000. The Nikon however does offer exceptional features such as the high ISO. Choosing between these two makes of cameras is a tough decision, and as you will note has now become extremely competitive in more ways than one.

Majority of the new SLR cameras have already come onto the market and are visible on the internet already. So now you have got to ask the question as to who is the Canon 60d’s target market. Well I would say it is more for those that want to upgrade from the 550D. I personally have only ever used a Canon, and here and there have used the Nikon. However, the competition between companies I have to admit is refreshing and healthy and will boost the whole industry.

Before Canon announced their video enabled and EOS 5D Mark II as well as full frame I was using both Canon and Nikon to take my shoots. Then I switched back to Canon permanently and invested in compatible lenses. I have got to admit that I really love my Canon and am always on the lookout for news models and upgrades. I recently purchased the Nikon D7000 and must say I like some of the new features, such as the low noise and the high ISO. The camera also provides 16 megapixel sensor and continuous 6fps shooting.

The Nikon 7000D includes an 18-105mm VR lens which is great for taking certain shots in the forests and bush. I can now see what many of the Nikon users love about their SLR camera. I also purchased the camera merely to test the live view continuous auto focus as well as the poor light abilities, especially when in video mode. Any professional photographer will tell you that poor lighting is really a burden.

Well I have to admit I was stunned, as the Nikon 7000D took excellent shots when exposed to poor lighting facilities. The comparison between a Canon 60d and a Nikon D7000 is when shooting in aperture mode live mode or video mode the Nikon 7000D does not allow one to alter the aperture value.

The Nikon 7000D does allow you to change the ISO, shutter values and white balance. If you are doing specialized photography such as wild life this camera is not suitable. So yes both the Canon 60d and the Nikon 7000D have their advantages and disadvantages, and all depends what you need the camera for will depend on which one to choose.
