Review of a D7000 Nikon Digital SLR
A new Nikon was released in October 2010 which is none other than the D7000 Nikon digital SLR and is an update of the well known Nikon D90. This model features 16.2mp CMOS sensor with six fps shooting and a thirty nine point AF system. The Nikon comes with a 1080 HD movie recording and an autofocus with sound as the camera has an external microphone input. In addition another new feature is a matrix metering system. The D7000 is appealing to beginners and photographic enthusiasts.
The following features have also been included and my review of a D7000 Nikon digital SLR has shown the following:- Live view – this allows for composing an image while watching the camera’s 3.0 inch HR of 921,000 dot LCD screen
- A 100% coverage and glass prism viewfinder
- The D7000 has a durable magnesium body
- Weather seals which makes the camera waterproof
- Comes with a ISO boost of around 25,600
- Has a dual secure digital memory card slot
- The D7000 has a high capacity rechargeable battery that allows up to 1000 shots per charge
- In addition there is also an optional MB vertical release battery grip
- Comes with Ex-speed two image processing
- 16.2 mp DX format CMOS image sensor
- Has a 1/250 per second flash speed and a 1/8000 per second shutter speed
- The shooting mode has two defined settings for personal usage and preference
- There is 3D subject tracking as well as a thirty nine point focus system
- The Nikon D7000 can take six frames per second and can shoot up o 100 JPEGS
- The 7000 has full HD 1080p movies and can be recorded at 24 fps, 30 fps and 720 fps.
While shooting a movie you are able to record monaural sound duet o the camera having a bilt in microphone. In addition stereo recording is also available whereby you can use external microphones. The sensitivity level can also be adjusted to either type of microphones.
My review of a D7000 Nikon digital SLR also shows that the D7000 has a range of in camera images and movie editing functions. The in movie edit allows you to delete any unwanted shots and you are able to save any selected movie frames as a JPEG image. There are two secure digital memory card slots as well as a SDXC memory card that is fully compatible with a HDMI output and you can connect the camera to an HD television as well as a monitor.
The Nikon D7000 comes with an active D-lighting that balances bright and dark exposures automatically of the image. You can customize your picture control settings before taking your shot. The Nikon D7000 has a built in flash which includes a wireless control that composes of external speed lights. In addition there is a D11 vertical release battery grip which is totally weatherproof and the shutter rates up to 150,000 cycles.
A feature such as the optional eye-fi memory cards allow for wireless transfer of movies and images. There is also an unobtrusive shooting mode that is completely silent. No dust can impact your photos. The Nikon D7000 comes with a rechargeable lithium ion battery that provides a 1050 shot per charge. This camera is only available in the USA at present.
For photographers that are looking for a camera that will give a good performance the Nikon D7000 is ideal and the D7000 is reliable and will give an unprecedented level of versatility as well as control. When it comes to balance and durability the Nikon 7000 D-SLR will deliver amazing full HD movies. My review of a D7000 Nikon digital SLR suggests that this is one of the most ideal cameras that have now entered the market. The Ex-speed two image processing engine fuels the performance of this camera making it exceptional in more ways than one. And the groundbreaking 39 point AF system and a RGB 3D matrix metering system makes this camera a better option to purchase than most excluding the Canon. Additionally the Nikon D7000 DSLR also affords a full 1080 HD movie feature which has a full time auto focus and allows the user to capture their pictures with striking stills as well as moving images.
