Externally, Nikon D3S digital slr has better ergonomics compared to most SLRs. The hand grip is very comfortable and well shaped, while the buttons are highly configurable and well-placed as well. One interesting button in this camera is the new Info button and screen, which is very useful when configuring key shooting parameters. The viewfinder is commendable with its bright and wide quality with 100% coverage. There are stereo microphone socket for video recording. This camera could give up to 720p video output.
While this camera seems to be the most brilliant one in the market, it still comes with its cons. One of which is that the white balance of Nikon D3S is that the white balance is not luminous enough when using artificial lighting. Another drawback is that it only provides motion JPEG video capture, instead of using MPEG. Lastly, the Vertical AF-ON button was not well-placed and can be easy to press accidentally.
Although there are some drawbacks, the Nikon D3s digital slr is still one of the most innovative digital cameras in the market today with its high ISO settings and remarkable frame speed.
